Captain's Weekend - 2012

Hi Everyone

Just a quick update on what’s happening prior to Captain's Weekend.

Everything possible is being done by our greens staff to repair the damage from the rain earlier this week and today will be the first day they have actually been able get out onto the course with their machinery.

I have placed a few pictures below which better illustrate the problems they face.

No decision will be taken regarding the weekend's golf until Friday.
 
The Trick Shot Show with the World Champion Geoff Swain will still go ahead come rain or shine at 7pm Friday evening. This is free to all Members and their family’s and I hope as many of you as possible  come and see what promises to be a great show.
 Afterwards Glenn "Tic Tac" Casely will be running the betting assuming the weekend is going ahead. This is your only opportunity to place a bet on anyone other than your self the format being:
 
£1 to place a bet on yourself - you can also do this at any time before you tee off on Saturday.
 
£2 to place an individual bet on any other entrant - only possible on Friday evening.
 
This money will be split as in previous years with payouts for 1st 2nd and 3rd.
 
An auction to buy any one of eight pre-selected groups of players with the winner takes all. Why not get your chums together in a consortium to battle it out against the other high rollers for the chance to win BIG!

The Saturday Dinner Dance will go ahead regardless of the weather and the dress code is Lounge Suits.
 
Look Forward to seeing as many of you as possible.
