Hole One

Par 4 - 425yds - S.I. 9    Par 4 - 398yds - S.I. 9    Par 4 - 363yds - S.I. 7

Pro's Strategy Tip

Tee Shot
The bold shot for the long driver is to aim just right of the marker post in the fairway which is situated 200yds from the geen. However anything straying to the right will find a hidden depression of rough. The safe line is to the left of the fairway.
Approach
Take one club more than you think as all the trouble is at the front. The shot played to left centre of the green should pay the best dividends.
Green
A narrow front and wide back to this green which slopes gently down from front left to rear right.

Hole Two

Par 3 - 157yds - S.I. 17    Par 3 - 140yds - S.I. 17    Par 3 - 127yds - S.I. 17

Pro's Strategy Tip

Tee Shot
A short but difficult par 3 which has a narrow entrance to a raised green. There is a bunker front left and a pond along the right side of the green with steep banks to the rear. Take sufficient club and play to the heart of the green.
Green
A narrow green, set above the surrounding ground with subtle borrows.

Hole Three

Par 4 - 415yds - S.I. 3    Par 4 - 411yds - S.I. 3    Par 5 - 368yds - S.I. 13

Pro's Strategy Tip

Tee Shot
The drive is best aimed to left of centre of the fairway to compensate for the natural cross-fall on the fairway. The course boundary and an internal lateral water hazard runs the full length of the right hand side of this hole.
Approach
Take plenty of club, bearing in mind you are playing uphill to a green which is bunkered quite tightly at the front.
Green
A large green rising gently from front to back.

Hole Four

Par 4 - 374yds - S.I. 11    Par 4 - 365yds - S.I. 11    Par 4 - 313yds - S.I. 5

Pro's Strategy Tip

Tee Shot
Long drivers should aim up the centre of the fairway but more modest players should aim further right but inside the line of the bunker located on the edge of the fairway. The course boundry flanks the right hand side of this hole and will catch any shot which drifts too far right from the tee.
Approach
Once again the front of this green is quite tightly bunkered. Aim for the right hand side of the green and take plenty of club to ensure you carry the bunker which is short and to the front right of the green.
Green
The green rises gently from front left to back right and is quite difficult to read.

Hole Five

Par 3 - 160yds - S.I. 15    Par 3 - 155yds - S.I. 15    Par 3 - 144yds - S.I. 15

Pro's Strategy Tip

Tee Shot
The tee shot is from a slightly elevated position so the whole green is visible. Good clubbing is important if the tee shot is to finish on the same level as the pin. The course boundary again flanks the right of this hole.
Green
This is a long narrow three tiered green, rising steeply from front to rear, making long putting difficult. On the lowest level, there are some fairly large borrows and pace is difficult to judge. If you can leave yourself an uphill putt it should pay dividends.

Hole Six

Par 4 - 411yds - S.I. 5    Par 4 - 385yds - S.I. 5    Par 4 - 322yds - S.I. 3

Pro's Strategy Tip

Tee Shot
The drive must be aimed up the left hand side of the fairway to open up the second shot to the green.
Approach
Accurate clubing is essential to ensure you reach the elevated green. A high shot played slightly to the right of centre into the heart of the green will avoid the steep banks below and to the left of the green.
Green
This is a generous green which rises very slightly from front to back. There are some subtle borrows and the pace of this green can vary considerably due to its exposed position.

Hole Seven

Par 5 - 521yds - S.I. 13    Par 5 - 513yds - S.I. 13    Par 5 - 500yds - S.I. 1

Pro's Strategy Tip

Tee Shot
Keep well left on the fairway to open up the second shot. If you go too far right the trees will block your second shot or you will drift out of bounds.
Approach
The second shot should be placed towards the left hand side of the fairway as a steep slope further down the fairway will take anything badly struck towards the bunkers on the right hand side. The pitch to the green should be well struck to the heart of the green as anything short or to the right will either pull up or drift into the right hand bunker.
Green
This is a fairly generous flat green, but it has some subtle borrows and requires your full concentration.

Hole Eight

Par 4 - 397yds - S.I. 7    Par 4 - 373yds - S.I. 7    Par 4 - 319yds - S.I. 9

Pro's Strategy Tip

Tee Shot
The drive must be aimed to the left of the fairway to open up the green. If you drift to the right of centre the second shot will be blocked out by a tall stand of trees which delineate the out of bounds area.
Approach
Take sufficient club to ensure you reach the green as a narrow swale in front of the green will collect anything short. Be careful not to stray with your approach. Anything to the left will either be bunkered or will leave you a difficult pich, whereas anything too big and to the right may reach the road and be out of bounds.
Green
A generous flat green not difficult to read.

Hole Nine

Par 4 - 418yds - S.I. 1    Par 4 - 404yds - S.I. 1    Par 5 - 413yds - S.I. 11

Pro's Strategy Tip

Tee Shot
Care is required as an internal out of bounds runs along the left hand side of the hole for approx 280yds. The ideal line for the long driver is to aim the drive for the right hand tower on the reservoir visible on the horizon, lesser mortals should keep further right.
Approach
Good club selection and accuracy is paramount. Twin bunkers and the adjacent out of bounds guard the left of the green and the right is equally well protected by a deep hollow of rough and established trees and an adjacent lateral water hazard. Anything short of the green even if it avoids the bunkers guarding the entrance will run back down the steep rise to the green.
Green
A relatively narrow green sloping down from back to front, A ridge tranverses the green towards the rear making a pitch from behind the green difficult. The borrows on this green are subtle and difficult to read.

Hole Ten

Par 5 - 465yds - S.I. 14    Par 5 - 459yds - S.I. 14    Par 5 - 444yds - S.I. 10

Pro's Strategy Tip

Tee Shot
The drive should be aimed to left of centre of the fairway.
Approach
If your drive is long enough you can attack the left hand side of the green with a long iron or a wood, alternatively aim your second shot to the left, leaving an easy pitch to the generous green.
Green
The green falls slightly from left to right, but is not too difficult to read.

Hole Eleven

Par 3 - 194yds - S.I. 16    Par 3 - 180yds - S.I. 16    Par 3 - 124yds - S.I. 18

Pro's Strategy Tip

Tee Shot
The tee shot is from an elevated position so the whole green is in view. Take enough club to carry the cross bunkers which are some distance short of the front edge of the green. Better to be big here as most of the trouble is at the front. However do not forget that on or over the lane which flanks the left of the hole is out of bounds.
Green
The green is crowned at the rear, has some subtle borrows and is difficult to read.

Aerial Flyover

Hole Twelve

Par 4 - 351yds - S.I. 12    Par 4 - 348yds - S.I. 12    Par 4 - 338yds - S.I. 2

Pro's Strategy Tip

Tee Shot
Although the tiger line is over the edge of the out of bounds and the trees to the right of the fairway, the safe line is to the left centre of the fairway.
Approach
The green is guarded by entrance bunkers on either side and runs down significantly from front to back. The safe route is to take sufficiant club and play a high shot to the heart of the green. However a lower shot played short just inside the entrance bunker allowing the ball to run down the green can pay dividends.
Green
This is a generous green with a severe slope from front to back right. The borrows on long putts can be significant and hard to read. An uphill putt is to be preferred.

Hole Thirteen

Par 4 - 346yds - S.I. 8    Par 4 - 339yds - S.I. 8    Par 4 - 330yds - S.I. 4

Pro's Strategy Tip

Tee Shot
The drive must be aimed well right of the centre of the fairway to open up the green.
Approach
The right club is vital, due to a well bunkered green with no bail out area and out of bounds at the back of the green. This is one hole where it is better to be short than long.
Green
This two tiered green slopes from front to back with a significant rise to the smaller rear tier. Long putts are difficult, some borrows are severe, difficult to read and hard to judge for pace.

Aerial Flyover

Hole Fourteen

Par 4 - 371yds - S.I. 4    Par 4 - 314yds - S.I. 4    Par 4 - 296yds - S.I. 12

Pro's Strategy Tip

Tee Shot
The drive should be aimed toward the left centre of the fairway to open up the green. Whilst the shot must carry the depression of rough short of the fairway be careful not to go too far and reach the water hazard. Stay away from the right side of the fairway or you will find your approach blocked by a tall stand of trees, and the out of bounds to the right of the pond.
Approach
If the approach to the green is missed on either side or it is long it can leave an awkward pitch, so you have to be accurate.
Green
The green slopes up from the front left to back right and can be difficult to read across or downhill.

Aerial Flyover

Hole Fifteen

Par 3 - 140yds - S.I. 18    Par 3 - 136yds - S.I. 18    Par 3 - 129yds - S.I. 16

Pro's Strategy Tip

Tee Shot
Take plenty of club allowing for the elevation of the green.Good clubbing is essential if the shot is to finish on the same level as the pin. Aim to the right or the centre for the safe option.
Green
This is a large undulating green on three levels, which slopes significantly up from front to back. It is difficult to read and judge pace.

Hole Sixteen

Par 4 - 438yds - S.I. 2    Par 4 - 433yds - S.I. 2    Par 5 - 424yds - S.I. 14

Pro's Strategy Tip

Tee Shot
The tee shot is from an elevated position so the entire hole is in view. The drive should be aimed to the right centre between the fairway bunkers. But do not stray too far right or the out of bounds may catch you out.
Approach
Care must be taken as the approach shot is blind. Take one more club than you think and play down the right hand side of the fairway to avoid the bank and deep bunker guarding the front left of the green.
Green
A generous green rising from front to back but with significant slope to the left at the front right hand corner. The green is not too difficult to read unless the pin is at the front right quarter of the green where great care is required.

Aerial Flyover

Hole Seventeen

Par 4 - 385yds - S.I. 6    Par 4 - 380yds - S.I. 6    Par 4 - 323yds - S.I. 6

Pro's Strategy Tip

Tee Shot
From the tee the hole slopes gently to its mid distance and then rises to the green which is clearly in view in the distance. The drive should be aimed to the left of centre on the fairway to allow for the natural slope of the land.
Approach
Unless the drive is long enough to reach the upslope the second shot will be played from a downhill lie. This coupled with the uphill approach makes club selection difficult. However again the trouble is at the front of the green so take one more club than you think and play boldly for the heart of the green.
Green
This is a gently undulating green rising from the front to a much more level tier at the rear, which can make long putts difficult.

Aerial Flyover

Hole Eighteen

Par 4 - 387yds - S.I. 10    Par 4 - 360yds - S.I. 10    Par 4 - 352yds - S.I. 8

Pro's Strategy Tip

Tee Shot
The preferred lie is just left of centre, but almost anywhere on this fairway will provide a good line to the green. Try not to miss the fairway on the right as a mature tree on the edge of the fairway may impede your approach.
Approach
Take plenty of club to carry the cross bunkers which are some distance short of the front edge of a generous green and play to the right of centre of the green. If in doubt err on being long as all the trouble is at the front and on the left.
Green
A large green sloping gently down from back right to front left. Not too difficult to read but be ready for some long putts due to the size of the green, unless your approach shots are accurate.
